A "Rotten" Win at Westminster, 2007!!

Winning a Best in Show right out of the gate as a Show Special, Rotten was ranked the #3 Golden Retriever in 2006, highlighting that year with a Judges Award of Merit at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club dog show.

Rotten repeated his appearance at Westminster on February 13, 2007, where the beautiful dog with the "Rotten" name earned the coveted honor of Best of Breed at The Garden. We at Highmark cannot be more proud than to be the co-breeder of the Best of Breed winner this time around, and then to have an Award of Merit honor bestowed on our own boy, Coach, was icing on the cake!

Rotten continues to make his mark in the Golden world through his kids, including one very special girl, BIS BISS CH. Toasty's Treasure Island, SDHF, who won highest honors at the GRCA National Specialty for 2008 by being awarded the trophy for Best of Breed. Rotten was not to be left out of the winner's circle, though, as he was awarded both a Judge's Award of Merit from the Best of Breed class, and winning ribbon from the Stud Dog Class!

It was a priviledge to watch this father/daughter team in action at the 2008 National Specialty.

A real Highmark Highlight is "Yogi" -

Owned by Alison and Ray Desmarais, Yogi has truly been allowed to shine!

• A multiple All Breed Best in Show winner.
• The winner of Back to Back Best of Breed wins at the Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty (2001, 2002).
• Golden Retriever "Top Twenty" Competition winner (2002)
• Has the honor of being the first (and only) Show Dog Hall of Fame (SDHF) and Obedience Hall of Fame (OBHF) in breed history.
• And now... Yogi returned to the GRCA National Specialty in October of 2008, earning the Best of Opposite Sex in the Best of Breed competition.

What amazing accomplishments and honors Yogi continues to achieve. At Highmark, we are very proud of Alison, Ray and their lovely boy, Yogi.

Another CHAMPION, By Jiminy!

Wishes can come true!

After living away from home and being campaigned to her Championship title, BISS CH. Highmark Malagold's By Jiminy! has returned to her roots and has settled right in. We are very proud of Cricket and all she has accomplished, but very happy to have her back among her family at Highmark!

We send our thanks to Malagold Kennels for taking such good care of Cricket during her "show time" and for handling her to her championship title, which included multiple Golden Retriever Specialty Best of Breed wins.

Cricket has gone on to produce some beautiful boys and girls that you can see in the show ring -

Highmark Congratulates CHAMPION "Demi"!

Happy Hour Malagold Strip Tease got the job done at the Ft. Detroit Golden Retriever Specialty on September 16th, 2005 - earning the ribbons for Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for the four-point major win that put the CH in front of her name! Thank you to Mr. Erik Bergishagen for recognizing this very special girl.

We at Highmark are so proud of Demi, who has worked her magic across the mid-west, finishing her Championship with three major wins! Owned and handled by Connie Gerstner Miller and Geri Gerstner Hart, Demi has also earned multiple Best of Breed wins along the way.

Congratulations to Connie, Geri and Demi on this wonderful accomplishment.
